Berhampur : On the Fisheries College campus here Saturday evening, Snake Helpline members rescued an eight-foot long male python.
When some hostellers went to turn on the engine to send water to the overhead tank at 11 p.m., they spotted the reptile close to the pump house. They alerted Snake Helpline volunteers, who arrived on the scene and assisted in the rescue of the python with the assistance of other inmates. Deba Prasad Rath, Sahil Matia, Radheshyam Das, Subhendu Behera, and others assisted the Helpline members in rescuing the male python and releasing it in a nearby jungle.
