Summons to Rahul and Sonia, OPCC marched to ED office

Bhubaneswar: On Monday, members of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) marched to the Enforcement Directorate office in Bhubaneswar as part of a nationwide protest over the ED's summons of Rahul and Sonia Gandhi in the National Herald case.

The protest was headed by Sarat Pattanayak, the recently appointed OPCC chief, who described the ED summons as a political vengeance and misuse of the agency by the BJP. "In such a spiteful atmosphere, no leader or political party can survive in a democracy." The BJP campaigned on the promise of a "Congress-free India." It's plotting to bring down the Gandhi family. Their efforts, however, will be in vain. "Congress workers across the country, including in Odisha, are united in their support for Rahul Gandhi," he remarked.

Suresh Routray, a state Congress leader, also blasted on BJP.
