Vigilance unearths ₹3 crore bank deposits of IDCOL Deputy Manager
Bhubaneswar: During raids in Odisha's capital, the Odisha Vigilance found 1.8 kilogram of gold and nearly Rs 1 crore in suspected ill-gotten cash belonging to Industrial Development Corporation of Odisha Limited (IDCOL) Deputy Manager Gaya Santara.
Assets unearthed
>> Rs 1.06 crore recovered during searches in Bhubaneswar.
>> 1.83 kg gold and 6.75 kg silver unearthed from his residence in Bhubaneswar.
>> Bank deposits of Rs 4.19 crore.
This is the fourth largest cash seizure in Odisha Vigilance's history.
On Tuesday, two multi-story buildings in Bhubaneswar, 13 plots in prime regions of Bhubaneswar, Jajpur, and Nayagarh, as well as two four-wheelers and four two-wheelers, were discovered during simultaneous house searches in Bhubaneswar, Nayagarh, Koraput, and Rayagada.
Meanwhile, Gaya Santara has been brought to Bhubaneswar from Sunki, Koraput, and questioned about the large sum of cash, bank accounts, and other valuables.
An official release stated that the search is still ongoing.
