Lingaraj Chhatria, a resident of Chahaka village within the jurisdiction of Kgaon police station, has been named as the person who was detained.

The defendants allegedly defrauded 15 people out of Rs. 4 lakh under the guise of offering jobs at reputable businesses.

Later, the victims complained in writing to the Bangomunda police station because the defendant had neither given them work or given them their money back.
