Cuttack: The Cuttack government has established times for lighting fireworks on Diwali. Only from 8pm to 10pm during the event are firecrackers permitted to be lighted or detonated.
"In the city, firecrackers may be set off between 8 and 10 o'clock at night. If anyone is caught using chemical or illegal firecrackers, severe measures will be implemented, said Cuttack city DCP Pinak Mishra.
For Kali Puja and Diwali, adequate security precautions have been prepared. To guarantee security throughout the city's celebrations of Kali Puja and Diwali, a sizable posse of security personnel would be stationed in and around important locations.
The Commissionerate Police has made elaborate arrangements for Kali Puja and Diwali in Cuttack city. Elaborate measures have been taken up in the silver city for the same to prevent any untoward incident.
“As many as 50 platoons of police force, including six additional DCP and 300 senior officials, will be deployed in the city during Diwali and Kali Puja,”
