Puri: On Sunday, a couple was discovered dead in a house in the Kanas area of Odisha's Puri district, with family members alleging that the two committed suicide due to debt problems.

The incident occurred in the district's Kanas block's Anlajodi Uparsahi village. According to sources, the couple was discovered hanging from the ceiling of a room in the house this morning.

According to family members and villagers, the couple took out a loan from a private finance company and committed suicide. They were, however, unable to repay it.
