Balangir: On Sunday, the body of a finance company employee who had been missing for two days was discovered hanging from a tree inside a forest in Odisha's Balangir district's Kantabanji area.
The deceased, Sabiliyat Harpal of Paikmal in the Bargarh district, was living and working in Kantabanji.
According to sources, Harpal went missing two days ago, and the company's manager filed a report with the Kantabanji police.
Locals reported the body hanging from a tree in the forest this morning to police.
After receiving information, police officers rushed to the scene, recovered the body, and launched an investigation. The body was sent for a postmortem examination.
A motorcycle and a bag were discovered close to the body.
It is unclear whether the man committed suicide or was murdered.
