IMD issues heavy rain alert for 12 districts in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Saturday that heavy rain will continue to fall in several parts of Odisha until July 12.
Heavy rain is expected in one or two locations in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Deogarh until 8.30 a.m. on Sunday, according to the midday bulletin. During this time, most places in North coastal Odisha, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Deogarh, as well as many places in the rest of the state, may experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers.
On July 9, heavy rain is expected in one or two locations in Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Koraput, Rayagada, and Gajapati, with light to moderate rain in many other parts of Odisha.
A yellow rain warning has been issued for one or two locations in Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, and Sundargarh, with light to moderate rain expected in many other parts of Odisha over the next 24 hours (July 10).
On July 11, heavy rain may fall in one or two places in the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Angul, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj. Most places in South Interior Odisha and many places in the remaining districts of the state can expect light to moderate rain or thundershowers.
On July 12, the MeT office predicts heavy rain in one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, and Kandhamal districts. Most places in South Coastal Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, and many other places in Odisha may experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers.
