Junior Assistant Arrested For Taking Bribe From Livestock Inspector
On Sunday, vigilance agents apprehended Golak Bihari Podha, a junior assistant at the Sub-Divisional Veterinary Office, Birmaharajpur, in Odisha's Sonepur, for allegedly accepting a Rs 15,000 bribe from a live stock inspector.
Bhubaneswar: On Sunday, vigilance agents apprehended Golak Bihari Podha, a junior assistant at the Sub-Divisional Veterinary Office, Birmaharajpur, in Odisha's Sonepur, for allegedly accepting a Rs 15,000 bribe from a live stock inspector.
According to sources, Podha demanded Rs 15,000 from the complainant before releasing his salary. An FIR was filed, and a trap was set to catch him. His entire bribe money was recovered.
While Sambalpur Vigilance has registered a case in this regard, simultaneous searches are underway at two locations linked to Podha from the standpoint of disproportionate assets.
