Bhubaneswar: During a raid near Bhubaneswar's Unit-8 area, the Odisha police STF seized brown sugar weighing 1 kg 107 grams worth more than Rs 1 crore.
On the basis of intelligence, the narcotic drugs were seized from the possession of a drug peddler, identified as Chittaranjan Sahoo, a resident of Dhenkanal district, during a raid on Saturday. The accused was brought before the district and sessions judge.
More research is being conducted.
Since 2020, the state's Special Task Force (STF) has seized more than 69 kg of brown sugar/heroin, 202 gram Cocaine, and more than 113 quintals of ganja/marijuna, opium 750 gram, and arrested more than 168 drug dealers/peddlers.
