Keonjhar: Three students, including two girls, died after being bitten by a poisonous snake at a coaching center in Odisha's Keonjhar district's Baria area.

According to sources, four students from a residential coaching center were bitten by a snake on Friday night in Nischintapur village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Baria police station. The incident occurred while the students, all of whom were minors, were sleeping.

All four students were rushed to Keonjhar's District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), where three of them were declared dead.

Another student in critical condition has been transferred to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for better care.

The deceased have been identified as Raja Nayak (12), Shehashree Nayak (10) and Elina Nayak (7), while Akash Nayak (12) is being treated in Cuttack, according to sources.
