LoP seeks phone call recording of Pranab Das, Pandian in Naba Das murder connection
Three days after claiming to have identified the mastermind behind the murder of health minister Naba Kishore Das, Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Jayanarayan Mishra dropped a bombshell on Tuesday, accusing 5T Secretary V K Pandian and Jajpur MLA Pranab Prakash Das and demanding that they be investigated.

Bhubaneswar: Three days after claiming to have identified the mastermind behind the murder of health minister Naba Kishore Das, Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Jayanarayan Mishra dropped a bombshell on Tuesday, accusing 5T Secretary V K Pandian and Jajpur MLA Pranab Prakash Das and demanding that they be investigated.
During a protest on the Odisha Assembly grounds on the first day of the Budget Session, which began on a stormy note, the LoP claimed that the killing was 'government-sponsored,' and he suspected the 5T Secretary and the MLA of involvement. "They spoke on the phone four days before Naba Das' murder.
"The two should be investigated, and the call record should be examined," said Mishra, who is known for making controversial statements without mincing words.
The LoP, who was recently involved in a fight with a female cop, also claimed that the Odisha Police was incapable of investigating these allegations and that the case should be turned over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Private Secretary to Chief Minister V K Pandian and Jajpur MLA who is also the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Organisational Secretary are seen as powerful in the ruling dispensation.
Notably, Mishra previously claimed that several high-profile individuals were involved in the minister's murder and that the CBI should investigate. "The ASI was merely the shooter, but who was his handler? "I will soon unravel the mystery surrounding the heinous murder," he had promised.
