Manas Choudhury: "Isn't the CM attempting to dupe everyone?"
Congress leader Manas Choudhury expressed concern about Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's announcement of a metro project for the state capital on Utkal Divas.
Cuttack: Congress leader Manas Choudhury expressed concern about Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's announcement of a metro project for the state capital on Utkal Divas.
Choudhary stated that April 1 is Odisha's foundation day and that if the state's CM had spoken to the people in Odia on that day, it would have been more pleasing to the people; rather, he announced a metro project for the state.
Choudhary tried to remind everyone that during the 2019 election manifesto, there was talk about starting a Metro train. There were no further discussions after that, and now an unexpected metro train has been announced on the day of the Utkal Divas. He stated that Utkal Divas falls on April 1, which is also known as April Fool's Day. Isn't the CM attempting to dupe everyone?
A team of experts stated in 2019 that the state's population is insufficient to support a metro train because the cost of maintenance would be prohibitively expensive. In this regard, the Odisha government stated that it would operate a metro train at its own expense.
Spending money on state improvements is good, but if you want to improve, build a flyover for people in the capital, said Choudhary.
Every day, people travel from Cuttack to Bhubaneswar. The distance between Vani vihar chowk and Palasuni is only 5 minutes, but due to heavy traffic, it takes between 30 and 45 minutes.
Likewise, another route runs from Kalinga Hospital to Raghunathpur. Due to traffic, the 5 minute distance takes 45 minutes to an hour.
He also asked the CM to stop deceiving people and boasting about the metro train and instead build roads and flyovers for the people's convenience.
The Congress leader has asked netizens to think deeply about this issue and support him.
