Police Constable commits suicide by hanging in Keonjhar

Keonjhar: On Saturday, the body of an Odisha Auxiliary Police Force (OAPF) constable was discovered hanging from a tree near his house in a village in the Ghatagaon area of Odisha's Keonjhar district.
The incident was reported from Hathinota village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the district's Ghatgaon police station. Premanand Naik, a police officer in the Bhadrak district, was killed.
Premanand is survived by his wife and two children, a five-year-old son and a two-year-old daughter.
When police were informed, they rushed to the village and sent the body for a postmortem. They started an investigation into what happened.
While preliminary investigations indicated that the jawan may have committed suicide, the precise cause of his death will not be determined until the postmortem report is received. The investigation is ongoing, and more information is awaited.
