One person was injured in an explosion at Scan Steel in Sundargarh

Kutra: On Friday morning, an employee of Scan Steel was burned in an explosion in one of the factory's furnaces.
According to sources, the accident happened about 8.20 a.m. at the Gangajal factory in Sundargarh's Kutra block.
The employee who was exposed to fire and hot liquid metals was airlifted to Ispat General Hospital in critical condition. Two more people were hurt and were taken to the hospital.
Kutra firefighters raced to the factory location and quickly extinguished the fire.
Sundargarh SP Sagarika Nath brought a team of police officials to the scene and began an investigation into the occurrence.
Surprisingly, Rourkela's Director, Factory & Boilers office has no knowledge of this serious occurrence.
