Cuttack: At least three police officers were critically injured after being attacked by alleged cattle smugglers in Odisha's Cuttack district's Tigiria area.

According to sources, the incident occurred late Friday night at Gopinathpur Sasan Chhak, which is under the jurisdiction of Tigiria police station, while police officers were on patrol.

The attack injured a Sub-Inspector (SI) and an Assistant Sub-Inspector (SI) in addition to the Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) of Tigiria police station. They are receiving care at Tigiria Hospital.
