Sulochana Biswal, a resident of the Talagada village, has been named as the deceased. Chhabi Biswal, her spouse, is very ill and has been admitted to the hospital at the district office.
When Chhabil and his wife Sulochana arrived at their farmland this morning, sources claim that the tusker, who was already present at Brinjal field, assaulted them.
Similar to this, Chaitanya Naik of Baradapal hamlet in Dhenkanal's Hindol Range was slain by an elephant attack this morning while attending to nature's call at a local water body.
