Bhubaneswar: A day after Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and state BJP president Manmohan Samal led the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' yatra in Konark, Puri district, senior BJP leaders joined the campaign in Bhubaneswar on the eve of India's 77th Independence Day.

The rally was started by BJP workers carrying a 1 km-long Tricolour from Lingaraj Temple. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi, former state president Samir Mohanty, and district unit president Babu Singh were among those who participated in the yatra organized by the party's Bhubaneswar Organizational District. The rally will come to a close at Master Canteen Square.

Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged citizens to actively participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga movement in his address to the nation on Sunday, saying it symbolizes the spirit of freedom and national unity. "The Tricolour has an emotional connection with every Indian, and it inspires us to work harder to further national progress." I strongly urge you to participate in the #HarGharTiranga movement from August 13th to 15th. "Upload your Tiranga photos here... https://harghartiranga.com," he had previously stated.

The campaign was launched on July 22, 2022, as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration of the adoption of the national flag. A dedicated website was also launched, allowing Indian citizens to virtually fly the national flag in their homes and share patriotic selfies with the Tiranga.
