ODISHA WON ‘ONLINE POPULAR CITY’ OF THE 5TH GUANGZHOU INTERNATIONAL AWARD

Bhubaneswar: Odisha has won the 5th Guangzhou Award for Urban Innovation 2021 for 'Online Popular City.'

The Popular City award went to 114 Odisha ULBs, while the Medal of Honor went to two initiatives: the Urban Wage Employment Initiative (MUKTA programme) and Faecal Sludge and Septage Management (FSSM).

The state Housing and Urban Development Department received the prize, which was congratulated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. According to media sources, Odisha's urban wage employment project was a critical factor, attracting the majority of votes cast for the state.
