4 killed, 4 injured as truck hits car in Phulbani

Phulbani: On Saturday night, a car collided with a stalled truck near Lahabadi, Phulbani Sadar police limits, killing four people, including two children. Four more persons were critically injured.
The injured people were taken to the MKCG Medical College & Hospital in Berhampur for treatment. The identities of those who died have yet to be determined.
According to accounts, the incident occurred at 12:25 a.m. when a car carrying eight people lost control and slammed into a stationary truck. One person died on the scene, while seven others were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital in Phulbani, where three more died of their injuries.
Four injured people were afterwards transported to Berhampur's MKCG Medical College & Hospital.
All were returning to Gumagarh village after attending an event in Talapada, Kandhamal district, according to a source.
