Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik approved 50 Fire Service personnel posts in various ranks for four airports in Odisha that are part of the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS)-UDAN scheme: Jharsuguda, Utkela, Rourkela, and Jeypore.

According to a CMO release, nine of these 50 posts will be deployed in Utkela and Jeypore, and sixteen in Jharsuguda and Rourkela.

It went on to say that three fire stations were recently made operational at three of the state's premier medical colleges: Cuttack, Berhampur, and Burla. In addition, two new fire stations have been established in Tihidi, Bhadrak, and Baruan, Jajpur. These stations were run by reorganizing personnel from other fire stations.
