OCS Exam: OPSC seeks services of College, University faculties for time bound evaluation

Cuttack: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has decided to hire senior faculty members from universities and colleges to evaluate descriptive papers for the Odisha Civil Service (OCS) examination in a timely manner.

According to sources, Higher Education Special Secretary Ramakant Nayak has written to all university registrars and principals of government degree colleges urging them to spare the services of faculty when the OPSC makes requisitions.

The OPSC is looking for faculty in the rank of Assistant Professor with at least three years of teaching experience, as well as Associate Professors and Professors in various disciplines, to evaluate descriptive papers of OCS examinations and other similar recruitments with descriptive papers in order to complete the recruitment process on time, according to the letter.

Because evaluating descriptive papers for the OCS examination and other recruitment is a time-consuming process, such faculties must be available for 10/12 working days each.

When such requisitions are placed before the university and college authorities, they have been asked to spare the services of serving faculty members in the ranks of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor in various disciplines.

According to sources, the authorities have also been directed to provide the Secretary of OPSC with a list of available serving faculties in various disciplines, as well as their contact information (mobile number and e-mail address), in order to prepare a database of examiners and enable advance planning of evaluation for various recruitment examinations.
