Puri: The Puri administration modified the curfew order on Wednesday, removing restrictions from several parts of the city before the previously stated 8 p.m.
The curfew, however, will be in effect from Badasankha to Banambar Chhak via Mishra Lane, Kumbharapada Sahi; Banambar Chhak to Matiapada Chhak via Old Nabakalebar Road; Matiapada Chhak to Asutosh Math Chhak; Asutosh Math Chhak to Nilakantha Mandir Chhak; and Nilakantha Mandir Chhak to Badasankha.
To guarantee a seamless Pahandi of the Lords from the chariots to the Adapa Mandap of Shri Gundicha temple, the limitations in the above areas will be in place till 6 a.m. on July 14th.
Except for approved vehicles and vehicles carrying essential services/medical services, vehicular movement will be prohibited in certain regions during the curfew.
Furthermore, public gatherings and movement of any kind will be absolutely forbidden in certain areas, and all businesses, including pharmacies, commercial establishments, and offices (save for essential services) would be closed, according to the notification.
