ACF Death: CB receives polygraph test reports of Bidya Bharati

Bhubaneswar: On Wednesday, reports were received from the criminal branch, which is investigating the unexplained death of Paralakhemundi ACF Saumya Ranjan Mohapatra.

The CB will evaluate the test reports of polygraphs and the study will continue accordingly.

On 20 September the polygraphic test was carried out at the Odisha State Forensic Laboratory (OSFL) by ACF's wife, Bidyabharati Panda. Paralakhemundi's DFO, Sangram Keshari Behera and chef Manmath Kumbha.

According to the Crime Branch ADG Sanjeev Panda, the reports will match those of the three already charged. The results assist to speed up the research, he said.

It is worth noting that DFO had previously denied participation in the murder of ACF, but a social media video clip showed him at the Hospital of District Headquarters with the two physicians and the Executive Judge, Achyutan and Jani (DHH). The video was supposed to be taken when Soumya's deathbed statement was recorded at the DHH.

The family members of Soumya had also appointed the FIR DFO to accuse him and Bidyabharati of 'pre-planning' its assassination. They also accused both of them of being unlawful. On the night of 12 July he was saved from serious burn injuries, and his fingers were on the stove when he stood at the ACF's official house.
