Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance officers are conducting simultaneous searches of a District Social Welfare Officer's homes today.
Following charges of holding of assets disproportionate to recognised sources of income, raids are being carried out on the properties of Chandra Sahu, a programme officer with the District Social Welfare Office in Bargarh.
Officials are raiding two locations in the district after the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Sambalpur issued search warrants.
So far, a two-story structure in Barpali, Bargarh, two plots, two four-wheelers, and a two-wheeler, as well as about Rs 3.54 in cash, have been discovered.
