Koraput: A bridge on NH-326, linking Bangalaguda with Lendri Maliguda in Odisha's Koraput district, collapsed on Tuesday near Podagada village, disrupting vehicular traffic on the Koraput-Laxmipur-Rayagada road amid heavy rain and flood hazard.
The incident reportedly occurred around 4 pm when 10 feet of the 40-foot-long bridge collapsed from one side. On both sides of the road, there were still hundreds of automobiles stuck.
It's possible that the constant rain weakened the bridge, which ultimately caused it to collapse.
