Engineering student found dead days after brother’s death in Koraput

Koraput: On Saturday, three days after the inexplicable death of her school-age brother, a young woman was discovered hanging at her home in the Koraput region of Odisha.

The family in Sriramnagar Colony, under the control of the district's Jeypore police station, was simultaneously struck by two tragic events.

Rashmita Nayak, the woman, was discovered hanging from the ceiling. After earning her B.Tech, she was employed by a private consulting firm, according to her father.

Rashmita's family stated that she committed herself because she was unable to cope with the loss of her younger brother Shibasish, a Class 7 student. According to her father, Rashmita had travelled to Jeypore after her younger brother's passing.

Police stated that their investigation was ongoing and that the post-mortem would be the only way to determine the precise cause of death.

They also claimed that Shibashish had committed himself three days prior as a result of persistent bullying from his peers. The child allegedly felt compelled to pay his friends money by his classmates.

The father of the two sobbed in front of the media, saying, "My son contacted his sister and begged her to bring a dress for him because it's the holiday season. When they arrived in Jeypore, his sister had promised to purchase him a dress. But it's already over.

Police have opened an inquiry into the twin accidents and have lodged a case.
