Odisha Govt urges people to take Covid booster shot ahead of Puja

Bhubaneswar: In light of the forthcoming holiday season, the Odisha government asked people to take the COVID booster dose on Saturday.

In 1,100 centres, a free COVID vaccination campaign is now in progress. The booster dose has been administered to more than one crore people, according to Bijay Panigrahi, state director of family welfare.

With 146 patients testing positive for the virus in the past day as opposed to 203 infections on Friday and 180 on Thursday, the daily COVID caseload in Odisha fell below the 200-mark once more on Saturday.

According to the state I & PR Department's report, 60 local contacts and 86 cases resulted from quarantine. 13 of the new cases are in the 0 to 18 age range. The state now has 1,327 active cases, and the test positive rate (TPR) was 1.16%.
