Singh appointed as new IGP State Police Headquarters

Bhubaneswar: On Friday, the Odisha government made a few changes to the IPS cadre, selecting Suresh Singh Dev Datta Singh, a 1998 batch IPS, as the IGP State Police Headquarters.

Mr. Singh, who was the IGP of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Headquarters in New Delhi, recently returned to the State after completing his Central Deputation.

Mr. Singh brings a wealth of expertise from his time with the Central Police Organization (CPO), which will benefit the State Police Administration when he is called upon, according to a senior Top Cop.

R Prakash, an IPS officer from the 2008 batch who is currently working as the SP of Jagatsinghpur, has been transferred to the State Vigilance Organization.

IPS Batch 2009 Akhilesvar Singh has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police in Jagatsinghpur.

IPS Batch 2013 Smit P Parmar has been transferred from Mayurbhanj to Nawarangpur as a police officer.

IPS 2015 Batch Rahul Jain, who was previously serving as SP Nuapada, has been promoted to SP Bargarh.

IPS 2015 Batch Pratyush Diwakar, who was formerly assigned to AIGP Headquarters, has now been assigned to SP Nuapada.

SP Mayurbhanj has been assigned to 2016 Batch IPS Khilari Rishikesh Dnyandeo, who was formerly assigned to SP Malkangiri.

Mr. Dnyandeo was recognised for his outstanding performance in Malkangiri while conducting anti-Maoist operations in the Cut Off Areas.

2017 Batch IPS P S Meena, presently serving as SP nawarangpur has been posted as SP Malkangiri.
