Balasore: Twelve infants at the Balasore district headquarters hospital (DHH) tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, according to CDMO Dulalsen Jagdev.
He added that two 12-month-old infants had been referred to a Cuttack hospital.
According to reports, eight of them are older than a month. At SNCU, four of them were under monitoring.
In Odisha, 130 people between the ages of 0 and 18 were infected in the last 24 hours. It accounts for 15.31% of all new cases. On Wednesday, the infection rate among children and adolescents was 14.7%.
Since August 15, when the state administration began mapping the paediatric population, 1390 children aged 0 to 18 have tested positive for COVID, with 33 children dying as a result of the terrible condition.
