Four Odisha Districts Face Flood Threats, NDRF Teams Deployed

Bhubaneswar: National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) troops have been dispatched in four coastal districts of Odisha to face a probable flood crisis.

Sources in the office of Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) stated four NDRF teams with 25 personnel each had been deployed in Kendrapada, Cuttack, Puri and Bhadrak districts. Apart from this, one team has already been stationed at the NDRF Rapid Response Centre in Balasore.

There are more teams at the NDRF Battalion in Mundali, Cuttack, that are ready for rescue and relief operations, according to those familiar with the situation.

There were notable deployments in Balasore of two ODRAF and one NDRF units as well as Kendrapada of two ODRAF teams and Bhadrak district of one NDRF squad.
