Talcher: A truck business from a Coal Corridor has hit a Talcher Kalinga mine assistant who died on Monday morning at the Solda Truck Association Gate. The labourer, named Santury Tapan of Jharkhand, was part of Litu Patnaik's road-building firm. The vehicle hit Santury Tapan's assistant before he ran over him according to reports..
He died immediately on the spot. Outpost police approached the site and moved the body into a post-mortem position. In the meantime, family of Tapan have requested the firm to indemnify Rs 50 lakh for death.
