OMC Awarded For Its Environment Protection Measures

Bhubaneswar: The Kalinga Environment Excellence Award 2020 was awarded to the Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC).
At the sixth seminar on "Sustainable Environment and Kalinga Environment Excellence Award2020," Sandhya Mishra, the additional Manager (Forest & Environment), received the award on behalf of the OMC from Odisha Assembly Chairman Surjya Narayan Patro.
The workshops were organised Saturday in cooperation with the Institute of public business, Hyderabad, in Bhubaneswar by the Institute for Quality and Environmental Management Services (IQEMS).
The OMC was awarded for its efficient and outstanding management of the environment. In the previous year, the company together with the Department of Forest and Environment has grown one million tress around the State as part of its environmental conservation initiatives. It also involves the installation and administration of solar power facilities.
