Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department said on Thursday that the online application for the Common PG Entrance Test 2021 for public universities and colleges in Odisha will commence on August 2.

The online Common Application Form (CAF) will be available on the website www.samsodisha.gov.in on August 2 at 11 a.m., according to the notification. The deadline for applications is August 14th (till 11.45 pm).

The admission exam will take place from August 23 to September 3, with the subject-by-subject and statewide merit lists being released on October 12.

The deadline for qualified applicants to fill out their choices is October 12 to 17, and the preliminary allotment of seats for the first round selection is October 22. Between October 22 and 25, students can pay their entrance fees online through the SAMS (Student Account) portal (till 5 pm).

Between October 22 and 28, qualified candidates must report to the designated institutions to take admission (for First Round Selection).

Students who were admitted in the first round of selection will be able to update their side-up option form online between October 23 and 29, while the various institutions will update the data of admitted students in the e-Space (for first-round admission) between October 22 and 29.

The provisional allotment of seats for the second-round selection will be revealed on November 4 (11 a.m.), and students will deposit their admission costs online through the SAMS (Student's Account) portal between November 4 and 7.

The applicants must report to their assigned universities between November 4 and 9 to take admission (for second-round selection), and the institutions must update the data of the admitted students in the e-Space (for second-round admission) between November 5 and 10.

On November 12th, a provisional list of vacant seats will be posted on the SAMS website (2 pm).

The Higher Education Department will release rules and announce a timetable for filling vacant seats.

Candidates whose final UG (Under Graduate) examination results are awaited (not published), according to the notice, can also apply online in the CAF to take the Common PG Entrance Test. They must, however, upload their grades prior to the production of subject-wise and statewide provisional rankings within the deadline, otherwise their applications would be rejected.
