Bhubaneswar: Many people are terrified by the man with the heavy lids, the sideways grin, and the obvious sense of seeing and knowing more than you did. The most adored villain in Odisha, Raimohan Parida, has encouraged his followers to support the honourable cause of eye donation even after his passing.

His eyes have been given to the "Drusti Daan Eye Bank" by his family. An eye donation technician from the LV Prasad Eye Institute said, "We persuaded the family members to donate his eyes, and they agreed."

On Friday, the veteran actor and theatre artist's mortal remains were set ablaze at Swargadwara in Puri. He was discovered dead earlier in the day at his home in Bhubaneswar's Prachi Vihar neighbourhood. It's believed that he committed suicide by hanging himself.

The 58-year-old actor recently finished dubbing for his most recent movie, "Om Swaha," which is being directed by Dileep Panda. His most recent movie, "Biswanath," debuted in theatres on June 10.

In addition to performing in plays and jatras, Raimohan appeared in over 90 Odia and 15 Bengali movies. In Mishra's 2003 film "Sata Micha," in which he played the role of the heroine's brother, he only attempted a positive character. Additionally, he received the Special Jury Award for this movie, his lone State film honour.
