Rakhis Are Sent To Jawans At Border Posts By Odisha College Students

Jajpur: Some students from Chitola College in Jajpur district have sent rakhis to soldiers stationed at border crossings ahead of Rakhsha Banhan on August 22.

Most soldiers are unable to return home to celebrate the event because to COVID limitations. The girl students of Chitola College have sent rakhis to the borders through post, in keeping with the tradition of sisters tying rakhis for the protection of their brothers.

“For all brothers and sisters, Rakhi Purnima is a wonderful day. Ankita Swain, a student, stated, "We want to tie rakhi to the Jawan brothers who are always there for the safety of our country."

These girls sought to inspire the warriors by expressing their love and respect.

“Our borders are guarded by soldiers 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They miss out on several festivities, like rakhi, at their homes due to the nature of their duty. Jyoti Prava Tripathy, a student, stated, "We're gifting rakhis to make them feel special on that day."

For the past few years, Chitola College lady students have been sending rakhis to the border stations. The college administration also assists the girls in this laudable endeavour.
