Southern Odisha to witness rainfall from tomorrow
Bhubaneswar: The depression over the southwest and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal is expected to maintain its intensity and slowly travel west-northwestwards towards the shores of North Tamilnadu-Puducherry and south Andhra Pradesh over the next 48 hours, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
According to the lunchtime advisory, dry weather will prevail in Odisha for the next two days, with mild to moderate rain in select areas. Thunderstorms are expected on November 21 in Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Malkangiri, Rayagada, and Koraput, and on November 22 in Gajapati, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, and Nabarangpur.
Following that, dry weather will prevail, with little change in the minimum temperature for the next four to five days. According to the forecast, Bhubaneswar may have fog/mist on Monday morning, with nighttime temperatures hovering around 17 degrees Celsius.
Similiguda in Koraput and G Udayagiri in Kandhamal had the coldest temperatures in Odisha last night, both at 8 degrees Celsius. A total of 22 locations in the state saw minimum temperatures of 15 degrees Celsius or lower.
