Sundargarh: With an emphasis on the rural population, the Sundargarh district administration has launched three public welfare programmes, including free digital diagnostics.

On the occasion of Independence Day, Collector Nikhil Pavan Kalyan began the programmes at Vikash Bhawan in Sundargarh.

Among the new projects is ‘e-SWASTHYA,' which will provide free health check-ups to the public. Digital diagnostic machines will be installed in 12 health centres throughout the area.

A plan was also introduced to establish sophisticated physiotherapy and therapeutic units in all of the blocks. In addition, workers will be given safety equipment to ensure their safety.

The Collector also recognised the one-year completion of a specific nutrition programme for children. Anganwadi centres offer Ragi Laddu mix and Spirulina-fortified Chiki and Sugar to youngsters as part of this programme.

The District Mineral Foundation is supporting the initiatives (DMF).

“In the district, the Spirulina and Ragi Laddu mix distribution for children's nourishment has been highly accepted. It has aided in the prevention of malnutrition in children as well as their overall growth. Sundargarh residents would now benefit greatly from e-SWASTHYA and physiotherapy services. The Collector stated, "We have begun these new initiatives to give various health amenities free of charge to the people in rural areas through CHCs/PHCs."
