Two Congress MLAs served notice for indiscipline
Bhubaneswar: Suresh Chandra Routray and Mohammad Moquim, both senior Congress leaders and Odisha legislators, have been served with a show cause notice for indiscipline.
According to sources, the state Congress disciplinary committee president, Kishore Patel, has given the senior MPs notice.
Rourtay, the party legislator from Jatni, and Cuttack-Barabati MLA Mohammad Moquim have been ordered to respond to the disciplinary committee within seven days, according to them.
The decision occurred after the two legislators allegedly made disparaging remarks about the defeat of the Congress in the recent Padmapur bypoll in the state's Bargarh district. They had blamed senior party leaders for the defeat of the party candidate in the by-election, who had misplaced the security deposit.
