With 'Rudrani,' Ollywood actress Jhilik tries her hand as a producer

Bhubaneswar: Jhilik Bhattacharjee, an Ollywood actress, is now trying her hand as a producer with Rudrani.

Jhilik, a Bengali girl married to an Odia, was rarely seen on screen after her marriage. But she'll be back with Rudrani, a female-centric film whose mahurat was recently held here. Jhilik will play the lead in the film.

Jhilik made her acting debut in the Bengali film Tomay Bhalo Bashi. She made her Ollywood debut in the Odia film Target, in which she co-starred with Amlan.

So far, she has appeared in 14 Odia films and seven Bengali films.

"Rudrani is concerned with Odia language, culture, and tradition." "Shooting will begin on January 10 in various locations throughout Odisha," said creative director Pranay Jethi.

The film's director is K Muralikrishna. He also penned the screenplay. Prem Anand composed the music, and Dr Rajani Ranjan wrote the dialogues.

Mantu, Lohitakhya, Pintu Nanda, Babi Mishra, Dharitri Khanduala, Prativa Panda, Shakti Barala, Jeevan Panda, and Sunita also appear in the film.

On the occasion, social worker Pratima Ghadai launched the production company 'Jhilik Motion Pictures.'

Among those present were producer Sitaram Agrawal, hero Sidhhanta Mohapatra, actor Pradyumna Lenka, producer Sanjay Nayak, and Kadambini Magazine editor Iti Samanta.
