Bargarh CDMO alleges misbehaviour by District Collector
Charubala Rath, the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) of Bargarh, has accused collector Monisha Banerjee of misbehaving with her over a tender work.
Bhubaneswar: Charubala Rath, the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) of Bargarh, has accused collector Monisha Banerjee of misbehaving with her over a tender work.
The CDMO has requested appropriate action against her, as well as her transfer.
Rath stated in a letter to the Health and Family Welfare Secretary that she received a call from the collector on her way to the Bhima Bhoi health camp in Bargarh on February 21.
"Collector madam inquired as to the status of the techno-managerial tender. Since I had recently joined, I informed her that the tender process was underway and that I would provide an update after consulting with the district project manager (DPM). "She immediately spoke to me in a high-pitched voice, which I have encountered numerous times since joining here," claimed the CDMO.
Rath was asked why she was sitting in the CDMO chair when she didn't know anything. "I told her that I did not come to Bargarh on my own but was sent here as per the government order. She then asked me to put it in writing that I knew nothing."
The CDMO also forwarded the letter to the President of the Odisha Medical Services Association (OMSA), Bargarh chapter, and the Director of Health Services, Odisha.
Banerjee said that she as not read the letter but had nothing against the CDMO. "I've never seen that letter. "It was not marked for me," she added.
