A BJD leader was critically injured last night after three motorcycle-riding miscreants opened fire on him in Kamakhyanagar, Dhenkanal district, Odisha.

Dhenkanal: A BJD leader was critically injured last night after three motorcycle-riding miscreants opened fire on him in Kamakhyanagar, Dhenkanal district, Odisha.
Kanhu Charan Sahu, the victim, was rushed to Kamakhyanagar Hospital with severe injuries to his hand and thigh and was later transferred to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as his condition worsened.
According to sources, the incident occurred around 10.45 p.m. when the miscreants intercepted his car and fired two rounds of bullets at him after breaking the vehicle's windowpane. Following the incident, the attackers fled the scene.
Police arrived on the scene and began examining CCTV footage to identify the perpetrators.
The reason for the attack on Sahu has yet to be determined.
Notably, the BJD leader was attacked by miscreants a few months ago, and bombs were also thrown at his home.
