Bhubaneswar: On Thursday, a tourist bus overturned near Bhandaripokhari in Odisha's Bhadrak district, injuring 25 people, five of whom were critically injured.
According to sources, the accident occurred around 10 a.m. near the Chatabar petrol pump on NH 16 while the private bus, carrying approximately 70 passengers, was traveling from Kolkata to Puri.
Firefighters and police officers rushed to the scene after receiving information and began a rescue operation. The injured people were taken to the Bhandaripokhari community health center. The seriously injured have been transported to the district headquarters hospital in Bhadark.
The police have opened an investigation and registered a case.
