Bhubaneswar: A sub-inspector (SI) from Dhauli police station was injured late Friday during a raid at an abandoned house near an SBI branch in Sisupalgarh, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.
According to sources, the incident occurred last night when some drug peddlers attacked SI Ramesh Bhola, who was leading a police team investigating an illegal drug trade in Sisupalgarh village. After being hit with a hammer, the police officer suffered severe head injuries and was rushed to the Capital Hospital for treatment.
Despite the chaos, the police team was able to apprehend four suspects.
