Cuttack: On Friday, four Excise Department employees were severely injured in an alleged liquor mafia attack during a raid in Dalua forest under Khuntuni police limits in Athagarh area of Odisha's Cuttack district.
According to reports, the assailants attacked the officials with sharp weapons when they arrived in the forest to conduct a raid after receiving information about illegal liquor trading in the area. They also vandalized four department vehicles that were parked in the forest.
Khuntuni police and Excise Department officials arrived in the forest after learning of the incident and launched an investigation.
