Sambalpur: Three people have been arrested for alleged gang rape of a girl in Odisha's Sambalpur district's Kuchinda area, police said on Friday.
According to Kunchinda SDPO Amitabh Pand, the three suspects were apprehended in response to a complaint filed by the survivor at the Govindpur police station. "A 21-year-old woman claimed that three teenagers gang-raped her on Wednesday night." "They've been detained, and the case is being investigated by a DSP rank officer," he explained.
The incident occurred as the woman was returning home from the Tangaramunda SBI branch. Two teenagers allegedly gang-raped her in different locations after offering her a ride on their bike. Later, she was allegedly raped in a car by another adolescent.
The detainees' four-wheeler has been seized, police added.
