A 25-year-old man was brutally murdered by unidentified assailants in Kurunti village under Rajnagar police limits in Kendrapara district late Friday night.
The deceased has been identified as Munna, also known as Ranjan Parida, a resident of Kurunti village. According to reports, the victim had several criminal cases pending against him at various police stations. The police suspect that the murder may be linked to past rivalries.
Last night, a group of criminals attacked Munna with sharp weapons, causing severe injuries that led to his immediate death. The police have recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. They have also initiated an investigation to apprehend the culprits and determine the motive behind the murder.
The incident has caused widespread shock in the local community, prompting many to call for swift action against the perpetrators.
