Nuapada: During a combing operation near a village on the Odisha-Chhattisgarh border under Sinapali police limits in Odisha's Nuapada district, security forces seized a large cache of arms and ammunition allegedly dumped by Maoists.

According to sources, 28 detonators, explosives, an AK-47 empty case, a radio, a battery, a Maoist uniform, and several other items were seized during a joint raid on Friday around 4 p.m. by SOG, DVF, CRPF, and COBRA personnel.

According to Nuapada SP GR Raghavendra, the joint operation was carried out after police received specific intelligence on the Maoists' whereabouts on August 17.  "A Maoist camp was discovered near Jholapada village." Among other things, security personnel recovered 28 detonators, explosives, and Maoist literature. "Another combing operation is in progress," he added.

28 detonators, 1 kg low explosives, 1 AK 47 empty case, 2 radios, 1 multimeter, 1 battery (6 volt), 2 batteries (9 volt), 2 mobile chargers, 2 mobile batteries, 2 torch lights, 1 Maoist uniform, 4 knives, 3 arrows, 2 bundles of rope, 2 haversacks, 2 bundles of wire, 1 whistle cord, 1 bundle of cotton, 7 polyethylene, 1 switch, 1 key ring, 1 water bottle, 1 spoon, 1 cup, 1 nail polish, 6 soaps, 1-meter tap, 1 shoe, 2 sandals, ladies clothes, medicine, Maoist literature and 1 water drum.
