Bhubaneswar: Manmohan Samal announced his team of 35 office-bearers on Friday, four months after taking over the BJP in Odisha and ahead of Amit Shah's two-day visit.

Vice presidents include Aparajita Sarangi, Golak Prasad Mohapatra, Nauri Nayak, Kusum Tete, Lalitendu Bidyadhara Mohapatra, Rabi Nayak, and Lekhashree Samantsinghar, among others. Avilash Panda has been named president of the BJP Yuva Morcha, and Aishwarya Biswal has been named president of the Mahila Morcha.

In March of this year, the BJP changed its state leadership and appointed senior leader and former minister Samal as the party's Odisha unit president for his role in ensuring the party's victory in the high-octane Dhamnagar byelection. He was known for his organizational leadership and had previously served as party president twice, in 1998 and 2000.
