Bhubaneswar: The annual High School Certificate (HSC) examination in Odisha concluded on Monday, setting the stage for paper evaluation to begin on April 3.

The Board of Secondary Education's (BSE) matric examination evaluation will begin on April 3, according to board president Ramashis Hazra.

On Monday, the annual HSC Summative Assessment-II examination 2023, which began on March 10, came to an end.

The exam went off without a hitch, he said, adding that answer script evaluation will begin on April 3 at 56 locations.

The board president denied allegations that question papers were leaked during the examination, claiming that only minor printing errors had been discovered and that steps were being taken to conduct the evaluation properly.

Hazra stated that efforts will be made to complete the evaluation process and announce the results within 45 days.

He stated that the teachers who will participate in the exercise will receive the necessary training to ensure the smooth operation of the answer sheet evaluation.

Nihar Ranjan Mohanty, board vice president, stated that the necessary steps are being taken to ensure the smooth conduct of the evaluation.

It should be noted that over 5 lakh students took the Class X matriculation examination in 3,218 centres across the state.
